ভারতে করোনারভাইরাসের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করতে নিম্নআয়ের মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়িয়েছেন অনেক বলিউড তারকা। এতদিন শাহরুখকে নিয়ে সমালোচনায় মুখর হয়েছিলেন অনেকে।
তবে সবার মুখ বন্ধ করে করোনা পরিস্থিতিতে দানের হিসেবে সবাইকে ছাড়িয়ে গেছেন তিনি।

শাহরুখ খানের আইপিএল দল কলকাতা নাইট রাইডার্স, বিনোদন সংস্থা রেড চিলিজ বিনোদন, রেড চিলিজ ভিএফএক্স এবং এনজিও মীর ফাউন্ডেশন সাহায্যের হাত বাড়িয়েছে। শাহরুখ প্রধানমন্ত্রী পিএম কেয়ারস ফান্ডে অনুদান দেওয়ার পাশাপাশি আরও অনেক প্রতিষ্ঠানকে অনুদান দিয়েছেন।
তার এই অনুদানকে ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী এক টুইটে তাকে বড় মনের মানুষ হিসাবে আক্ষায়িত করেছেন ।
শাহরুখের ‘মীর ফাউন্ডেশন’ পক্ষ থেকে ৫০ হাজার পিপিই কিট দেয়া হচ্ছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ আর মহারাষ্ট্রের হাসপাতালগুলোতে।

‘এক সাথ’ নামের একটি সংস্থার সঙ্গে যৌথ উদ্যোগে মীর ফাউন্ডেশন করোনার জেরে বেকার হয়ে যাওয়া মুম্বাইয়ের প্রায় সাড়ে ৫ হাজারপরিবারকে প্রতিদিন দু’বেলা খাওয়ানোর ব্যবস্থা করেছেন।
এছাড়াও ২ হাজার প্লেট খাবার প্রতিদিন পৌঁছে যাবে হাসপাতাল আর জরুরি পরিষেবার সঙ্গে যুক্ত মানুষদের কাছে।
